Storemaster has a distributed architecture "client-server". Components of the system are realized according to the "thin client" technology, where main calculations are carried out on the server side, and the resulting data are sent to the work places, which decreases the load on data transfer channels.
Generalized structure of Storemaster is shown on the next picture.
Storemaster components are integrated into the applications server structure JBOSS 4.2.2 GA. The system includes the following components:
Storemaster is distributed together with the application server JBOSS, which is an open source software product and is free.
Storemaster data are stored in the DBMS Oracle v. 9 or 10. JBOSS applications server and DBMS Oracle can operate on one computer center or on different computer centers (back-end computers).
Computer center functions under Linux Red Hat operation system. It is also possible to use MS Windows XP and MS Windows Server 2003. A computer center must have Java Development Kit (JDK) software environment v 1.5 or newer.
In order to run the front-end part of the system on work places of the personnel MS Internet Explorer 6 or newer is used. The system does not support other browsers.
