The module is designed for providing of services to third-party customers under roaming agreements. Billmaster redirects authorization requests of third-party customers to AAA-servers, located in their home networks.
Authorization of roaming customers is performed after establishment of PPP-connections. Customer’s login (united with the service identifier – realm) and password are sent to the ISG/SSG gateway.
The next picture shows the interaction scheme of Billmaster, ISG/SSG gateway and a third party AAA-server.
Billmaster redirects authorization requests to a remote AAA-server, and then forwards the received response to the gateway. The gateway requests available quotas from Billmaster. Billmaster redirects request to a remote AAA-server and returns a response. The gateway enables access for the customer.
The gateway periodically sends to Billmaster the information about the volume of provided services. The cost of services is charged from the personal account of a special customer, who represents a third party operator. For this customer you can make reports about volumes and costs of services in section of roaming customers’ logins.
Billing & Customer Care (B&CC) Billmaster is a certified convergent billing system.
